Slaugtherhouse

I am so bad at blogging, but here comes an update!

Today we went to a small private slaugtherhouse with Meat hygiene class. They slaugthered one cow for us properly for us to see from start to finish, and inspect after. It was really interesting to see, sure it was a bit creepy with the muscle spasms after death, but it didn't have a head so yeah, he didn't really feel anything haha.
We were not allowed to take pictures, but I sneaked one when he was showing us the inspection of head and thoracic organs.

I got really carsick on the bus to the slaugtherhouse and has been ever since. So I haven't really been able to study today even if I really have to. Too nauseous and too homesick.

On Friday we have Equine reproduction final, but we still haven't got the results from the Eq. repro lab final (Monday) so no one is sure on if they can sit the final in 2 days. #Poland
I think next week is a quite calm week, hopefully.

Yesterday we went to a fish laboratorium, it was interesting, but too long of a trip for that visit. So everyone got quite bored and went on treasurehunts with Geocatching (mobile app).

BERLIN WEEKEND (3)!

Saturday: Early morning, went for breakfast at an amazing teehouse just across the street.

• Went on a city tour with the hop-on hop-off busses, it was great, but I would recommend to walk or rent bikes instead! Otherwise you miss all of the small stuff!
• I jumped off at the Potsdam square and walked to the remnants of the Berlin wall. Behind the wall there was an exhibit "Topography of terror", so I walked around there until Elisabeth caught up with me.
• We continued walking the small streets. We found the weirdest vintage market ever! and bought alcohol from a schoolbus.
• We saw Checkpoint Charlie and lots of other sightseings.
• Met up with the gang on the grass outside of Berliner dom
• Back at the hostel, fixed ourselves and went out for dinner!
• Back to the hostel and socialized at the bar, played foosball
• I WAS THE CHAMPION of our small tournament (together with an american)!!

Sunday: Breakfast and sitting in the sun by the river until it was time to head to the trainstation!

BERLIN WEEKEND (2)!

Friday: Train 5.50 (delayed 25min), arrived in Berlin at 12.

• Left bags at City stay hostel, some went to a streetparty and the rest of us went to eat hamburgers at 1840. 
• Linnea and I went for a walk through central Berlin to see everything and all of the small street treasures! 
• In the evening we met up at the hostel and went for dinner at this amazing mexican restaurant right around the corner (Tipica)
• Continued to go for drinks, WORST place ever! It looked like a great spot with lots of drinks on the menu. My stomach got really bad after half of the disgusting drink.
• Went home and slept!

BERLIN WEEKEND!

We bought beer at this schoolbus (foodtruck) and drank it publicly, I almost peed my pants when we were walking past policemen! (It is legal to drink publicly in Germany)
