Wrongful injection-Necrosis

Just came back from the vet., we never get a break do we.. Daisy is probably resistant to antibiotics by now. Turns out that they had done a wrongful injection on her, about 1-2 weeks ago, so that lead to necrosis of the skin of the neck. Now she is back on antibiotics and some new solution too. At least I know how that feels and looks now...

I am just so exhausted.

Noticed how the strange place had started to deteriorate this evening.
All of the hair just fell out when I touched it.
Removing the dead tissue.
This is how it looks now, and will look like in the next couple of days.

Daily update

I am totally beat, have been the last couple of days, don't really know why but hopefully I'll be fine after the weekend!
Picture from the "pack-walk" today, hahah thank god Daisy hates getting wet or dirty so I didn't have to carry her.
Washed her today for the first time in 3 weeks, and after many field walks. I haven't been able to because of her wounds, I don't think she has ever been that dirty!
Made pot pie and vinegrette today!

Zumba!!

Not much has happened, but I think I passed both the physiology and polish exam, woop woop.

Yesterday I jogged to the gym, did zumba with Jennie, Natasha and Kathy, jogged back and walked Daisy. OH MY GOD, I understand why all polish girls are in good shape here... The zumba was CRAZY, it was fun, but I haven't sweated that much in a looong time.

Had a wine evening with pretty Jennie!
Cool school bus!
Daisy has a weird kind of "hardening" on her neck, a bit above where they removed one cyst. I am a bit nervous now, gonna look in to it soon.

Autopsy and walk in the forest

Weekly walk with the doggy friends
Daisy jumped of a to high hill, fell and landed in poop... She was covered in HUMAN poop. Thank you all joggers who can't go poop on the toilet BEFORE they run or HOLD themselfs. I ran a freaking half-marathon without peeing or pooping, you should be able to hold yourself for a forest-run. Please.
The Christmas decoration has started

Paudie sleeping as usual
Today we did autopsies on chics
The chics died of natural causes! When we found out we were dissecting chics we were all a little preserved and scared, but....
The teacher was talking about how you should let the flame on the tools go out before you touch the chicken (which is dabbed in alcohol) otherwise it would be grilled chicken, everyone laughed a little. Then.. The chic he was presenting the autopsy on light on fire. Everyone started laughing in panic, while the teacher sat there and said oh, hmm, ops. It sounds bad but it was hysterically funny, the whole situation was just so strange. The chic was put out and he demonstrated the autopsy on another chic. We had to pin the limbs, open the skin and connective tissue, open thoracic cavity, collect sample of heart and lung, open abdominal cavity, collect sample of intestine, liver, kidney and spleen. Tomorrow we are going to identify bacteria that was present in the different organs.
Crazy Daisy and Henri!

Sick, soup and present!

Yesterday I was really sick so I lied in bed most of the day, then I went to the vet with Daisy and when I came home I had gathered some energy so I made soup and baked cookies. The soup became superhot because I threw in a chili fruit that has been drying for a few weeks, I pour in a lot of creme fraise in it but it is still superstrong!
Got a package from Grandma!
It was a cookie recipe book, love it!
Got the histopathology back! The tumor on the thigh was a epidermal cyst and the one in the mammary glans was adenocarcinoma stage 2 (there are 5 stages, 1-2 means there is a minimal chance of spreading, so that is awesome!)
Took a nap with Daisy sleeping on me for a few hours, supercosy!
The chocolate cookies I baked. They turned out okay, on top is dark chocolate which was melted and poured on !
I had to put on some make up and fix myself today so I wouldn't look like a sick freakshow when I went to school!

Daisy cut her paw

In 1½ days I have become supersick so now I have a hysterical cold and feel like shit, perfect timing too now when all of the big exams are coming up!

Daisy had fully recovered from the operation and then she cuts up her paw, so we had to sow. She needed 3 stitches, they are kind of far apart so that the wound will heal by it self or something.. It was so recently that she was put to sleep for the operation so I didn't want to put her under again so they had to sow it while she was awake. She got some anesthesial fluid on the wound, but when we got to the last stitch it was all gone so she screamed a bit then but she is such an amazing dog so she never tried to bite or do anything.

The big fish-hook needle that was used to sew her back together!
Couldn't get a good pic, was to busy holding her and making sure she didn't move when the vet was fixing her.
Because she had cut herself the day before (I assume  the vets first shaved of the fur around the wound, then they poured the anesthesia on it, waited for a few minutes. Then they started "shaving off" a layer of the opened wound so all bacteria would be gone, that was a little weird to watch, it started bleeding a bit but it was dabbed of with some cotton. The vet pushed the needle through from one side to the other and then made many knots for it to hold. She did the same thing for the other 2 stitches but during the last one Daisy started struggling and screaming so that one had to go fast!

Picture update

Was bored and tested some new makeup methods!
Coffeheaven with Elisabeth and Aidín!
You can't see it from here but on the note it says 'Gustav is gay' hehe. Calum is crazy..
Was out for a walk and took a new road and came to a small forest with weirdly placed and bolted down benches everywhere, I think there were about 20 of them...

Sean, Angelica and Coco had a clinical exam on Wednesday so they came by and examined Daisy for practice! I learnt a some stuff. (They are in 3rd year and I'm in 2nd so I don't have their classes)
Coco is taking the pulse in 2 ways!

Essays, Ombré, Crazy Daisy

Studying my as off now, tonight I have to finish an essay and a presentation if I want to join the medics pubcrawl tomorrow. In Animal husbandry I am assigned to write about a. husbandry of poultry for fattening and egg production in Sweden (it sucks) and in Physiology I am doing a presentation about the sense of smell in different animals (not that fun but better than the poultry thing..).
It always goes crazy on Tuesdays before and during epidemiology.. This time we were modells...
Daisy has been going a bit crazy since the operation, I don't think I have ever seen her have this much energy (and be attentive at the same time). I liked her being a old, sleepy dog. Now I have to do brain activity stuff with her everyday and go at least 2 long walks for her to be kind of normal and sleepy. Tomorrow we are going on a walk with the doggy friends so then she'll get to run off some energy.

I was kind off tired of my haircolor so I "ombréd" my hair (I know how much you liked my red hair mom, and you probably won't like this but I do, love you). So now I have copper hair with blond ends.

Yesterday I went to Arkadia with Henri, I bought a sweater and a dokument holder for passport and tickets. I love it, I always loose the boarding pass in my bag and I hate to fold it and now I don't have to and I have everything in the same place.
Romantic dinner!
